for Wine Tours in 2009 and February & March 2010

Below is an overview of our 2009 and some 2010 wine tours. The list is sorted in descending order from the date furthest in the future. The main seasons for wine touring are May and June for spring in Europe; (particularly good for vineyard walking holidays) and September, October and November for the harvest and autumn break wine tours. The New World we generally feature in February and March - again in their harvest and normally avoiding the heat of the summer. In July we often have opera festivals combined with wine touring and our wine cruise.

There is generally have a little over a years availability showing on the site. For the Wine Cruises and long haul tours we may have a longer run up of up to 18 months. The New World Wine Tours dates are normally available by February / early March the year before.

Opera breaks and Wine & Opera tours often have a much shorter lead time. This is because the Opera Houses and Festivals are often rather late in announcing their programmes and even later in announcing the soloists. As soon as we have details we post these on the site and let our Opera clients know what is happening. If you are interested in Opera trips, register this with us and we can keep you posted.

Some tours fill up very quickly and go straight from PLACES AVAILABLE to FULLY BOOKED in a matter of days. Sometimes this is because a large number of people have pre-registered, sometimes it is because the tour is very popular!

Where a tour is marked as FULLY BOOKED it is still worth giving us a call. Places may be being held as options or there could be cancellations. In some cases we can create a waitlist or we can point you in the direction of a similar tour. We can also tell you when the tour is next likely to be run.

Tours are generally left up on the site for up to a year after they have they happened for your information. Also some rather more obscure tours, or tours that we do only very occasionally are left up for years. If you are interested in any of these please do press REGISTER INTEREST when you are on that tour. This counts as a vote for that tour being put on again, (and we can tell you when this will be).

At the last minute, tours that include flights are normally sold without the flights as any flights we were holding are likely to have been released back to the airline. It is obviously better to discuss all these tours some time before departure. However, even at the last minute do call us anyway, (even if the tour is later that week, or seems to be 'sold out'). We may still have availability, we do get cancellations and we may still be able to get flights or find a way that you can join the tour.
