Europe
In 2010 in Europe, Arblaster & Clarke Wine Tours have tours visiting France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Croatia and Slovenia.
In France there will be about 25 tours to the wine regions featuring Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhone, the Loire and Alsace. In Italy there will be around 10 tours taking in Tuscany, Piemonte, Sicily, Puglia, the Veneto and Lombardy. Several tours feature Spain and Portugal and a couple visit Germany. Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Croatia and Slovenia are visited by one tour each.
A&C have also visited Hungary regularly over the years and Belgium too, (but for their special beers, not the wines that they make in a small way in the south of the country). Clients have even had tastings in Luxembourg and Montenegro. We haven't run any tours yet to Eastern Europe or the Caucasus, but certainly would if we felt there was enough demand.
England is our home patch. There are quite a few vineyards around us in the Weald and on the Downs. There should be more and there soon will be. - English Sparkling Wine made using the same methods, chalky soil and grape varieties as Champagne can be really impressive. Do try some if you haven't already. In a few years time we are sure that we will be showing quite a few groups from overseas around the vineyards of Southern England.
