These superb escorted Opera tours combine days spent exploring the vineyards with leisurely lunches at wine estates and evenings at the Opera. The performances are at world famous venues with very good seats!
We are pleased to announce our Vienna Opera and Wine tour in 2010. The tour has a superb line up of Operas with exceptional casts at the Staatsopera (the Austrian State Opera House). Starting with La Sonnambula featuring the Peruvian Tenor Florez, then Verdi's Rigoletto and finishing with Bellini's I Puritani starring the memorable Anna Netrebko.
We are featuring Verona Opera and wine, as we do every summer, this features the most famous Opera Festival in Italy held in Verona's Roman Arena. It's worth attending a performance even if you are not a huge Opera fan, to enjoy the spectacle as thousands of people gather excitedly and light their candles as the moon drops behind the stage. The atmosphere makes for an unforgettable experience. In 2010 we include always superb tastings of Valpolicella, Amarone, Soave Classico and the other great wines of the Veneto.
For 2010 we are offering the Puccini Festival as an independent (ie unescorted) holiday staying in the best 4* hotel in Lucca.

There are no early starts on the Opera holidays and there is time to explore the very beautiful cities you are staying in.
