From the vineyard to your door
Come and meet Tony Laithwaite at his home in St Colombe and have the chance to visit the beautiful crayères of Chateau La Clariere Laithwaite, then join a party at the Laithwaite's cellars in Castillion-La Bataille afterwards.
Laithwaites hold regular festivals in Bordeaux. Sometimes the event is planned to co-incide with the end of the harvest. The party is a very relaxed, informal affair with a local band entertaining us, as well as a BBQ roast lunch and of course lots of fine La Clariere wine! If you haven't visited La Clariere before and indeed even if you have, this is a great excuse to see where these popular wines are made and a great chance to buy excellent Bordeaux direct from the chateau.
The date of the next festival is 5 - 7 June 2009. This will be the 40th Anniversary celebrations!
