Our superb escorted Opera & Wine Tours combine day times spent exploring the vineyards with leisurely lunches at wine estates and evenings attending great Opera. The performances are at world famous venues with very good seats!

We are pleased to announce our Vienna Opera and Wine tour in 2010. Our 2010 tour in April had a superb line up of Operas with exceptional casts at the Staatsopera (the Austrian State Opera House). Starting with La Sonnambula featuring the Peruvian Tenor Florez, then Verdi’s Rigoletto and finishing with Bellini’s I Puritani starring the memorable Anna Netrebko. NB: 2011 details available soon!

We are featuring Verona Opera and wine, as we do every summer, this includes the most famous Opera Festival in Italy held in Verona’s Roman Arena. It’s worth attending a performance even if you are not a huge Opera fan, to enjoy the spectacle as thousands of people gather excitedly and light their candles as the moon drops behind the stage. The atmosphere makes for an unforgettable experience. We include superb tastings of Valpolicella, Amarone, Soave Classico and the other great wines of the Veneto.

For 2010 we are offering the Puccini Festival as an independent, unescorted,holiday staying in the best 4* hotel in Lucca.

Whilst we are not offering a Rome Opera & Wine for 2010, we can arrange a tailormade unescorted itinerary, so please do follow the link below to our bespoke Opera holidays. The venue is the ruins of Baths of Caracalla, site of the original ’3 Tenors’ concert.

There are no early starts on the escorted Opera & Wine holidays and there is time to explore the very beautiful cities that you are staying in.

We are also pleased to feature below two independent breaks to La Scala, Milan in October or at any date in 2010 or 2011 to suit you and for the New Year 2011. If these dates do not suit you, please refer to our Bespoke Opera Holidays available below.
