The SY Pantheon
Venice to Dubrovnik Wine Cruise
17 - 24 August 2005
A&C chartered the fabulous super-yacht ‘Pantheon’ for a wine cruise from Venice to Dubrovnik. We stopped at many of the ports and islands that used to belong to Venice and where that stamp of the Lion of St Mark is clearly visible in the colonnaded piazzas, soaring belfries and seemingly impregnable fortifications.
We discovered the best of the local wines from Istria, the Dalmatian islands of Vis, Hvar and Corcula, plus Montenegro. Our tastings showed that there is very interesting wine being made here. In the north from Refosco and Malvasia, in the south from varieties that we had never tasted of before such as Posip, Plavac Mali and Vranac. In further on board tastings we featured wines from the Adriatic including top Italian wines from Veneto, Friuli, Rosso Conero and Puglia, plus some of our Slovenian and Greek favourites too.
In 2010 we sail from Athens to Malta via Sicily, Lipari, Tunis and Pantelleria on S.C. Panorama, S.Y. Pantheon's former sister ship.

In 2009 we chartered the Star Clipper, as we have many times before for a wine and archaeology cruise to the Peloponnese, Crete and the Cyclades.
The SY Pantheon is a luxury 164 foot yacht with a crew of 17 and 25 cabins. There is ample deck area including a large shaded area around the bar. The chefs serve gourmet Mediterranean cuisine. Sports equipment includes windsurfer, canoes and snorkels.
