Arblaster & Clarke offer tailor-made, unescorted breaks with your choice of Opera tickets to the great Roman arena which houses the annual summer Opera festival in Verona. We arrange accommodation in a comfortable central Verona 4* hotel within easy walking distance of the Opera house. This can be with or without flights, depending what suits you best.
Verona is a wonderful city to spend a few days in, with its 14th century Castelvecchio, renaissance buildings and an excellent archaeological museum. You will have time to enjoy Verona’s Roman and Medieval sites, elegant shops, wine bars, gelateria and restaurants and you’ll have the Arblaster & Clarke list of recommended restaurants to choose from.
Arblaster & Clarke also offer escorted Opera & Wine tours based in Verona if you prefer the convenience of travelling with a party.
The Hotel
We stay in a traditional four star hotel, superbly situated in the heart of Verona – a level five minute walk from the Piazza Bra home to the Roman Arena. The rooms are comfortably and traditionally decorated.
The Opera tickets
An un-numbered step to an Opera of your choice is included. Option to purchase additional tickets on request. If you would like to upgrade your included un-numbered step opera ticket the prices are as follows and are payable at the time of the deposit:

Travel: Meet at Destination
We recommend that you fly into Valerio Catullo airport in Verona, this is approximately a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of town.
You may prefer to catch the Eurostar to Paris followed by an overnight train to Verona, a direct journey with no changes, where the train station is approximately a 5 minute walk from the hotel. For overnight trains you can book 4 months before date of departure – for other trains three months beforehand, please visit the Rail Europe website for options: www.raileurope-world.com

Outline Itinerary for independent unescorted opera breaks
Day 1. Check into Hotel, free time to explore Verona. Opera at the Arena di Verona (One numbered step ticket included). Overnight 4* Verona.
Day 2. Opera at the Verona Festival (optional, see prices below for the different seats). Overnight 4* Verona.
Day 3. Check out of hotel.
Opera availability depends on the dates of travel.
Optional Extension:
Extra nights at the 4* hotel in Verona are £95 per person per night in twin if booked and paid for at the time of the main booking.
Please request extra tickets and extra hotel nights at time of main booking. Additional Operas and additional hotel night are payable in full at the time of booking. All opera tickets are subject to availability at time of booking and once booked and paid for there are no refunds on opera tickets. In the case of bad weather, if there is a partial performance of the opera, the Arena do not make any refunds.

Upgrade from numbered steps is the difference between the two, so upgrade to Poltrona is £25. Upgrade to Poltronissima is £60.
