On our first evening in Reims the comparative tasting will show you a variety of out-performing Champagnes.
Our appointments start at Champagne Tarlant, one of our recent discoveries that is proving hugely popular for their wonderfully crafted champagnes. Our late afternoon visit, is to Michel Arnould, which is a truly special visit. The family ‘en masse’ generally host us, and treat us to generous tastings of their elegant champagnes in their tasting room, that has wonderful views over the Verzenay vineyards.
Dinner this evening is at Ployez-Jacquemart where Laurence, the skilled wine-maker, is also a gourmet chef.
Our final morning is with Bollinger, renowned for their superb Vintage Grande Année and Vintage RD. These are heavy-weight luxuriant cuvées, amongst the most magnificent of all Champagnes.
Our grande finale is our gourmet lunch at the house of Philipponnat in nearby Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. This is accompanied by their Champagnes including the blockbuster ‘Clos des Goisses’.

Day 1 - Join the tour in the morning at Petersfield, London, Dover or along the A3 & M20. Departure from London is generally 7.30am.
We arrive in Reims about 4 pm where we stay at a good central 3* hotel. In the early evening, the Wine Guide introduces a deluxe Champagne tasting, perhaps a single vintage from different houses or just a range of interesting, impressive and prestige Champagne.†
Day 2 - Today starts with Champagne breakfast, then a visit to a good house or grower. Lunchtime is free in Reims.
In the evening, we taste more superb cuvées over dinner at a Champagne house or leading grower.
Day 3 - Champagne breakfast before visiting another top house, followed by gourmet lunch at a cellar or a michelin starred restaurant*. We'll arrive back at around 8.30pm in Dover or Folkestone and 10.30pm in London.
We can also arrange transfers to and from central Paris or Paris Charles de Gaulle airport by Limousine, Taxi or Renault Espace.
