The original A&C Champagne Weekends
On an Arblaster & Clarke Champagne Weekend you'll taste at least 25 champagnes over the course of the weekend, (starting at breakfast!). You'll visit a range of interesting cellars and famous Houses in Reims, Epernay or Ay including those that forged Champagne's reputation including Taittinger and Veuve Clicquot, plus our selection of the best smaller Champagne houses and growers that we have sought out in the top villages such as Mareuil-sur-Ay, Bouzy and Le Mesnil.
We'll show you a huge range of Champagnes during the course of the weekend. As well as the tastings at the cellars, there are Comparative Tastings hosted by your Arblaster & Clarke Wine Guide at the hotel. On every tour we have at least one meal as guests at a Champagne house or grower. Travelling with Arblaster & Clarke you receive a warm welcome along with generous Champagne tastings at houses that we have been visiting for many years.
As we travel by coach from London you may bring back up to 36 bottles per person (or more by agreement). Alternatively, if you prefer, you can make your own way to Reims or join us from Paris. We always include visits to a couple of personally selected top quality smaller producers, whose wines are often not available in the UK where you can stock up at good prices.
Joining the tours Champagne is the closest great vineyard region to the UK and the nearest to Paris, so our Champagne tours make great wine weekends. Our Champagne tours depart from the UK in the morning (for pick up points, please see the booking form on our How to Book page) and arrive at Reims around 1630 local time (1 hour ahead of UK time). You'll have time to relax or explore before the evening Comparative Champagne tasting.
Joining or leaving from Paris - Many clients from around the world join our Champagne weekends from Paris. Reims is easy to get to from Paris by train or taxi. Occasionally they return with us to London and then fly home from there. Please see the booking form on our How to Book page for approximate journey times.
Evening Comparative Tastings The Comparative Tastings are a special feature of the A&C Champagne experience. Over the weekend, we want to show you as broad a spectrum of Champagnes as possible. So on every A&C Champagne Tour, your Wine Guide shows you a selection of Champagnes to introduce the various styles and as many Houses and Growers as possible. It's a fun and illuminating evening.
Do come and join us!
The "Champagne Weekend" idea that Lynette Arblaster & Tim Clarke pioneered has given our clients so much pleasure over the past 26 years. The style of these weekends remains unique to Arblaster & Clarke. To get the most out of the Champagne Region you simply must go on one of our Champagne Tours.
